The Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS)
Most UK building companies will require that you have taken the CSCS test before beginning work; this is the first step to achieving you CSCS card. The identification provides you with proof of your knowledge, skills and qualification. It is portable proof that you are trained in health and safety to industry standard. The test you will be given depends on the card you are applying for but all tests are based on health, safety and the environment at different levels and occupations.
Who is this qualifaction for?
The Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card is now vitally important to anyone who wants to work on-site; it is unlikely you will be allowed on-site without one. CableCom Training offer the CITB Operatives Health, Safety and Environment Test from our own Pearson Vue approved Test Centre. The tests are invigilated by Pearson Vue trained staff, which help ensure the exam runs as smoothly as possible.
What are the entry requirements?
There are no formal qualifications needed to sit the CITB test but to complete the application for the Green Labourers Card learners will need Level 1 Award in Health & Safety. If learners would like to complete the operatives application for a skilled card they will need to have completed a recognised qualification listed on the CITB Website for your current trade.

WHAT WILL I STUDY ON THE COURSE?
Learners will be given the opportunity to go through all CITB testing material to gain the knowledge to pass your chosen test. This will take place before the test in our ICT suite.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?
Attendance is a minimum of 1 day, depending on the level of card you require. The course will start at 09.30 and finish at 16.30.
HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?
The learner will be assessed by means of an on-line end test, which typically lasts 45 minutes.
